Russell Raia is a Life Member of the Million Dollar Round Table. He is a 58- year member of Houston Association of Insurance and Financial Advisory (HAIFA), and the Nation Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA).  He has also been licensed for 27 years to market Variable products, such as Mutual Funds, Variable Annuities, Indexed Annuities.  He is licensed to sell in Texas, Missouri, Nebraska and Utah.

He has a vast knowledge of all aspects of Life Insurance and has proven an invaluable asset to his clients over his career.  Starting in 1966 at 23-years old, Russell became a captive agent for American Amicable Life Insurance Co.  Leaving them six years later, he created Russell Raia and Co., Insurance Planning.  In 2002 his son, Nick Raia, entered the business and together they created RaiaLife Partners, P.C., Insurance Planning. 

He has also done consulting work for attorneys relating to life insurance companies and agent sales practices. 

As a 43-year member of The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, he was elected as a lifetime director in 2013.  He was Chairman of the Carnival Ticket Sales committee, producing the first $1MM in presales.  He also serves on the Jr. Swine Auction Committee (43 years) and the Area Go-Texan Committee (15 years) He was a past member of the World Championship BBQ and The International Committees. 

Russell attended St. Thomas High School and University of Houston. He has been an avid supporter of UH Athletics for 6 decades.  He is an active member of Our Lady of Walsingham Catholic Church.  He is a second-generation Italian American.  He has four children, eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
